My Learning Journey
I believe that paths are a very good representation of my view of learning and that is why I chose it for my theme. There is not one path to the learning destination in a classroom and defiantly not one speed. There are many different speeds and many times where the speed may be fast for some and slow for others but change along the way. Each student will take their own route through learning but the big thing to remember is learning is about the destination.
Did the student learn what you intended for them to learn? If yes, then does it really matter how they got to that point and what their route or speed looked like as long as it worked for them? It is not like travelling by a single path, it is like travelling by many paths all passing through the same big areas but going their own way and at their own speeds. It is our duty to take the information that we receive and be able to use critical thinking skills to determine where to take our thinking and our searches in a direction that we want to go that would make the most sense to us for reaching the final destination.
