I hope that I am headed somewhere that I can think to myself “I am really at the cutting edge of learning”. I would love to be one of the teachers that is leading the way for new learning theories to come about just as a sponsor teacher I once had was leading the charge with 21st Century learning. I was so privileged to be in that classroom and learn from that teacher and I hope that one day my student teachers I may have says the same thing about me.
I hope that through the OLTD program I am able to learn about online learning systems and communication systems that will not only benefit me as a teacher but allow for my students to have a deeper understanding
of their own learning and in turn want to take pride and ownership in their work through revisions and reflections instead of the old way of handing in a worksheet or test and never looking back. My expectations for myself in this program is that I will stretch myself and force myself to take chances that I never thought I would and not be afraid to try and fail at something, because even with failures comes great learning.
The journey is going to be a long one with many new experiences, am I ready to take a leap of faith and push myself to new boundaries?
